Oxalen 25 Tablet 10's is used along with ultraviolet light for the treatment of vitiligo. It is also used to treat psoriasis (a skin condition). Vitiligo is a skin condition in which the skin loses colour (melanocytes) and results in discoloured patches in different areas of the body, including the skin, hair, and mucous membranes.
Oxalen 25 Tablet 10's contains trioxsalen, which works by activating certain skin cells (melanocytes) and helps to repigment the discoloured and white patches.
Oxalen 25 Tablet 10's may cause common side effects such as erythema (skin redness), blisters, oedema (swelling), and itching. These side effects resolve on their own. However, if it persists, stop using Oxalen 25 Tablet 10's and consult your physician.
Oxalen 25 Tablet 10's should not be taken if you are allergic to it. Inform to your physician if you are pregnant/breastfeeding.
