Oxalitero 50 mg Injection belongs to a group of medicines called 'atypical antipsychotics,' primarily used to treat schizophrenia and manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder. Schizophrenia is a mental condition in which you may feel, hear or see things that are not there (hallucinations), believe things that are not true, and feel unusually suspicious or confused. Bipolar I disorder is a serious brain disorder where you experience extreme mood swings (variance in thinking) and frequent mood and behaviour changes.

Oxalitero 50 mg Injection contains 'Olanzapine' that works by restoring the balance of chemical messengers in the brain and improves thinking mood, and behaviour. Oxalitero 50 mg Injection improves mental clarity and lessens hallucinations. It is used to treat schizophrenia-related agitation and the manic phases of bipolar disorder.

Oxalitero 50 mg Injection will be administered by a health care professional; do not self-administer. Common side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation, stomach pain, back pain, runny/stuffy nose, cough, increased appetite, weight gain, and redness/pain/swelling at the injection site.
