About Oxelum Sugar Free Gel
Oxelum Sugar Free Gel belongs to a group of medicines called antacids, used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset. Due to excess acid production, the mucous layer in the stomach gets eroded, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.
Oxelum Sugar Free Gel contains Aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide and oxetacaine. Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby providing relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
You may experience side effects such as constipation, diarrhoea, dizziness, and drowsiness in some cases. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve over time. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Do not take Oxelum Sugar Free Gel if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Oxelum Sugar Free Gel should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to prevent any interactions.

Oxelum Sugar Free Gel is used to treat acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (inflammation of the stomach), and stomach upset.
Oxelum Sugar Free Gel is a combination of three drugs: Aluminium hydroxide (antacid), magnesium hydroxide (antacid) and oxetacaine (local anaesthetic). Aluminium hydroxide and magnesium hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Oxetacaine exerts a numbing effect, thereby providing relief from pain due to ulcers or acidic injury in the stomach.
Do not take Oxelum Sugar Free Gel for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. Talk to your doctor if you do not feel better even after taking Oxelum Sugar Free Gel for a few days.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Oxelum Sugar Free Gel . Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in your stools (tarry stools) or experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acidity. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This prevents acid reflux.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Oxelum Sugar Free Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Oxelum Sugar Free Gel .
Avoid taking citrate-containing foods and beverages, as they could lead to increased aluminium serum levels that can be harmful.
