PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET

PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET is used to prevent nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy. The detailed use of PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET is as follows:

• Chemotherapy-Induced Nausea and Vomiting (CINV): PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET prevents acute and delayed CINV, providing long-lasting relief and improving patient quality of life during chemotherapy.

PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET contains Palonosetron, which blocks the action of serotonin, a chemical that stimulates the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone—CTZ) in the brain. Thus, it prevents nausea and vomiting during chemotherapy.

• PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET can be taken with or without food as recommended by the doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not chew, crush, or break it.

• Eat a healthy and low-fat diet, especially in small portions, as it will be easy for digestion. Avoid eating over sweet food and include more salty food, especially if you have been vomiting.
• Also, if you like to vomit at a specific time, avoid eating your favourite food at that particular time as your taste for that food may get turned off.
• Drink any other liquid at least 30 minutes after eating food.
• If the smell of food makes you feel sick (vomit), do not cook food as it may worsen your condition. Let someone else do cooking or use prepared food from the freezer.

If you are allergic to PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. The oral form is not recommended for children. However, the injection may be given to children above one month as advised by a doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET. Drive only if you are alert, as PALOZAC 0.50MG TABLET may cause tiredness or dizziness. You are recommended to avoid heavy meals and take small nourishing snacks throughout the day. Drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.
