About Polypin Capsule 10's

Polypin Capsule 10's is a combination medicine used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and reduce cholesterol levels. Also, it reduces the risk of heart attack or stroke. Hypertension is a condition in which the force exerted by the blood against the artery walls becomes so high that it causes health problems, such as heart disease.

Polypin Capsule 10's contains Aspirin (antiplatelet), Atorvastatin (statin), Metoprolol (beta-blocker) and Ramipril (ACE inhibitor). Aspirin is an antiplatelet drug that decreases the formation of harmful blood clots by preventing platelets from sticking together. Atorvastatin belongs to the class of statins or HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors that work by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme in the body that is essential to make cholesterol. Thereby, it decreases the production of LDL (bad cholesterol) by the liver. Also, it reduces the risk of stroke or heart attack by lowering the excess cholesterol deposition in the major blood vessels of the brain and heart. Metoprolol acts by inhibiting beta receptors in the heart, causing the heart to beat more slowly and with less power. Thereby, it decreases the pressure at which blood is pumped out of the heart and throughout the body. Ramipril works by blocking the angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) in the body. Thus, it reduces the production of angiotensin II, which causes constriction and narrowing of blood vessels. This allows the blood vessels to relax and widen and lower blood pressure. Together, Polypin Capsule 10's helps to reduce cholesterol levels and lower high blood pressure.

Take Polypin Capsule 10's as prescribed. You are advised to take Polypin Capsule 10's for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your medical condition. Sometimes, Polypin Capsule 10's may cause common side effects such as tiredness, dizziness, slow heartbeat, nausea, headache, orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure when standing up from sitting or lying position), and cold hands and feet. Most of these side effects of Polypin Capsule 10's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to aspirin, atorvastatin, metoprolol, ramipril or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to consult a doctor before taking Polypin Capsule 10's. Avoid drinking alcohol with Polypin Capsule 10's as it may cause tiredness. If you are undergoing dialysis or any other type of blood filtration, inform your doctor before taking Polypin Capsule 10's.
