About Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's

Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's belongs to the group of medicines called 'antiplatelet agents' used to prevent the formation of blood clots, thereby reducing the chance of having a heart attack, or stroke in future. The formation of blood clots in arteries (blood vessels) can cut off the blood supply, leading to heart attack, stroke or death. Clot formation in the arteries that supply blood to the heart may cause reduced blood flow which could lead to unstable angina (chest pain). Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's is prescribed after you have already had a heart attack, or unstable angina, or have been treated with a procedure to open blocked arteries or have stents to open blocked/narrowed artery.

Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's contains 'Prasugrel' which inhibits blood platelet (tiny blood cells that form a blood clot and prevents bleeding) aggregation and activation. Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's works by inhibiting the clumping of platelets, thereby reducing the chance of having any blood clot formation. This results in lower cardiovascular events like myocardial infarction (heart attack) or stroke in future, especially in people who have had heart surgery known as angioplasty.

To date, Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's is only available in tablet form so, it can be given only via the oral route. Take Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's with or without food. Do not chew or break the tablet; swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Take Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's at the same time every day. You are advised to take Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as nose bleeds, skin rash, bleeding from the needle puncture site, bleeding in bowels, blood in urine, low haemoglobin, purpura (blood leakage under the skin), indigestion and bruising. Most of these side-effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side-effects persistently.

To treat your condition effectually continue taking Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own as it may cause an increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Do not take Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's if you ever had a brain stroke, bleeding in the brain or transient ischemic attack (stroke). Talk to your doctor before taking Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's if you weigh below 60 kg, 75 years or older had/have a recent severe injury or surgery due to risk of severe bleeding problems. Avoid taking Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by your doctor. Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's is not recommended for children as the efficacy and safety have not been established. Periodic checks for haemoglobin (Hb) level and hematocrit count for signs of bleeding is advised in people using Prasudoc 10 Tablet 10's.
