Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet belongs to the class of medications called antidepressants used to treat neurological diseases such as depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Depression is a mood disorder characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, loss, or anger. Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is the excessive thoughts that lead to repetitive behaviour.

Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet contains Fluvoxamine maleate, which is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). It increases the release of the serotonin hormone in the body, which is responsible for improving mood, cognition, and memory. Thereby, Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet helps improve mood and provides relief from the symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Take Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. You may experience common side effects like nausea, vomiting, nervousness, headache, dry mouth, indigestion, and loss of appetite. Most of these side effects of Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to fluvoxamine maleate or other ingredients present in Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet . Drug-Drug interaction: Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet may interact with medicines such as pain killers (aspirin, tramadol), immune suppressants (ciclosporin), medicines used to treat abnormal heart rhythms (mexiletine), medicines used to treat pain and withdrawal symptoms (methadone), epilepsy medications (phenytoin or carbamazepine), blood pressure-lowering pills (propranolol), Parkinson's disease (ropinirole), migraine medications (sumatriptan), asthma medications (theophylline), antiplatelet drugs (clopidogrel), and blood thinner (warfarin).

Drug-Food interaction: Alcohol can increase the nervous system side effects of Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet , such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience impairment in thinking and judgment. It would be best if you avoid or limit alcohol use while being treated with Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet .

Drug-Disease interaction: Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with liver disease, seizures, hyponatremia (low sodium level in blood), and weight loss.

Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet increases the serotonin levels. Serotonin is a chemical messenger in the brain responsible for improving the mood and physical symptoms of depression. Thus, it effectively relieves symptoms of depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Do not stop Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet without your doctor's advice. Sudden discontinuation may lead to withdrawal symptoms such as nausea, insomnia, restlessness, and anxiety. Take Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet for as long as it has been prescribed. If you experience any difficulty, consult your doctor.
Dry mouth could be a side-effect of Psyvoxin-ER-100 Tablet . Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might help in stimulating saliva and thereby prevents drying of the mouth.
