Renosave Tablet is prescribed to support kidney health and help manage chronic kidney disease. Common uses include:

• Chronic kidney disease: Renosave Tablet helps delay the decline of kidney function by protecting renal cells from oxidative stress and harmful toxins.
• Diabetic kidney disease (diabetic nephropathy): It may help protect the kidneys from cellular damage caused by chronically high blood sugar levels when used as supportive therapy. Evidence for this use is still limited, and your doctor will determine whether it is appropriate for you.
   

Renosave Tablet is used as supportive therapy to help protect kidney function by reducing oxidative stress and supporting healthy kidney cells. Regular use may help slow the progression of kidney damage in people with chronic kidney disease.

• Take Renosave Tablet with or without food or as advised by a doctor.
• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication to ensure safety.
• Swallow the medicine as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, break, or chew it.

• Limit salt intake: Reduce your sodium consumption to help manage your blood pressure and decrease the workload on your kidneys.
• Monitor fluid intake: Drink an appropriate amount of water as recommended by your doctor; do not overhydrate or underhydrate if you have kidney impairment.
• Manage blood sugar and blood pressure: Keep your glucose and blood pressure levels within your target range, as uncontrolled levels can accelerate kidney damage.
• Eat a kidney-friendly diet: Talk to a dietitian about managing your protein, potassium, and phosphorus intake based on your specific kidney function stage.

• Inspect the tablets before use: Do not take the medication if you notice any discolouration, cracks, or damage to the blister packaging.
• Inform your doctor if you have asthma: If you have asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), tell your doctor before starting treatment. Although the risk is much lower with oral acetylcysteine than with inhaled forms, caution may still be needed in some patients.
• Avoid taking with activated charcoal: Activated charcoal can bind to the ingredients in this medicine and reduce its absorption, making it less effective.
• Schedule regular kidney tests: Attend all scheduled appointments for blood and urine tests so your doctor can monitor how well your kidneys are functioning.
• Report unusual breath odor: Acetylcysteine naturally has a slight sulfur-like (rotten egg) smell when the package is opened; this is normal and not a sign of spoilage, but if the tablet tastes highly abnormal, consult your pharmacist.
