Rutozer-SPO Ointment 15 gm is indicated in conditions like wound infection, post-surgical dressing, post-cosmetic & plastic surgery, traumatic wounds, post-episiotomy dressing & post-surgical dressing, chronic infected non-healing ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, bed sore, impetigo, abrasions & lacerations, boils/carbuncles, and radiation/chemotherapy ulcers. Rutozer-SPO Ointment 15 gm is a combination of three drugs, namely, povidone-iodine, ornidazole, and sucralfate. Povidone iodine is an antiseptic agent that works by releasing iodine and damaging the protein, fatty acids, and nucleotides of micro-organism cells. Ornidazole is an antiprotozoal agent that kills infection-causing agents by damaging their DNA. Sucralfate is an anti-ulcer medication that forms a protective barrier over the wound to help promote healing. Together, Rutozer-SPO Ointment 15 gm helps treat wound infections.
