Safiron 100mg Tablet is used to treat the signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Parkinson’s disease is a disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement and locomotion.

Safiron 100mg Tablet contains safinamide, which works by increasing the amount of dopamine (a natural substance that is needed to control movement) in the brain.

Take Safiron 100mg Tablet as advised by your doctor. Safiron 100mg Tablet may cause side effects like cough, indigestion, flu-like symptoms, difficulty sleeping, joint pain, and swelling. If the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Safiron 100mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Please inform your doctor if you are using any medications other than Safiron 100mg Tablet. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor.

• Treating Parkinson's Disease: Safiron 100mg Tablet is used along with levodopa/carbidopa to manage Parkinson's symptoms by boosting dopamine levels in the brain.

• Safiron 100mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
• It is recommended to take Safiron 100mg Tablet once daily at the same time each day or as advised by your doctor.
• Swallow Safiron 100mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.

• Safiron 100mg Tablet helps in managing the signs and symptoms of Parkinson’s disease when used in combination with other antiparkinson medicines.
• It reduces the frequency and duration of off episodes in patients with Parkinson’s disease.
• Safiron 100mg Tablet improves motor function and movement control.
• It supports better daily functioning and enhances the overall quality of life.

• If you are known to be allergic to Safiron 100mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor.
• Please inform your doctor if you are using any medications other than Safiron 100mg Tablet.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor.
• Safiron 100mg Tablet is not recommended in albinism (a condition with less melanin) and eye problems like retinal degeneration, uveitis, inherited retinopathy or severe progressive diabetic retinopathy.
• Safiron 100mg Tablet should be used with caution in patients with schizophrenia (a mental illness that causes disturbed thinking, loss of interest in life, and strong or unusual emotions), bipolar disorder (mood that changes from depressed to abnormally excited), or psychosis; or if you have high or low blood pressure; dyskinesia (abnormal movements); or sleep problems.
• Safiron 100mg Tablet may cause serotonin syndrome when used with MAO inhibitors, antidepressants, or opioid drugs. A combination of MAOIs and dextromethorphan has been reported to cause episodes of psychosis or abnormal behaviour. Hence, talk to your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines.
