Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adults. The prostate is a small, muscular gland in the male reproductive system. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common condition that occurs when the cells of the prostate gland begin to multiply.

Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of Silodosin and Dutasteride. This medicine works by blocking the action of alpha-1 receptors, causing smooth muscle relaxation in the bladder and prostate. Dutasteride blocks the action of a 5-alpha reductase enzyme, resulting in a shrinkage of the size of the prostate gland.

In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dizziness, headache, nasal congestion (stuffy nose), and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Take Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet with or without food. It is advised not to take more than the recommended dose of Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet. Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine. It is crucial to have your lipid profile checked regularly.

Inform your physician if you are allergic to Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet. Avoid consumption of alcohol as it may increase the side effects like dizziness and low blood pressure. If you take Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet with any antihypertensive medicine, your blood pressure could suddenly drop to a life-threatening level. So, avoid intake of Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet with antihypertensive drugs. Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet is not recommended for use in female population and children.

• Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food, as advised by your doctor • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication. • Swallow Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water. • Do not crush, chew, or open it.

• Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet is a combination of Silodosin and Dutasteride used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adults with an enlarged prostate gland.
• Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet causes smooth muscle relaxation in the bladder and prostate, and also causes a shrinkage of the size of the prostate gland.
• It helps to relieve symptoms such as difficulty urinating or the urge to urinate more often and improve your ability to urinate. 

• Do not take Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet if you are allergic to Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet or any other components present in it. To treat your condition effectively, continue taking Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own.
• If you take Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet with any antihypertensive medicine, your blood pressure could suddenly drop to a life-threatening level. So, avoid intake of Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet with antihypertensive drugs.
• Inform your doctor if you have/had a heart attack or stroke or heart failure, low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, have certain eye diseases, loss of vision due to loss of blood flow to the optic (eye) nerve before taking Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet.
• You are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet as it may cause dizziness.
• Avoid consuming alcohol along with Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness and drowsiness.
• Older patients may be more sensitive to the side effects of Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet, especially dizziness and low blood pressure when getting up from a sitting or lying position. 
• Sildohyp D 4mg/0.5mg Tablet is intended for male patients only. Therefore, it should not be administered to women and children under 18 years of age.
