About Siluts-D 8mg Capsule
Siluts-D 8mg Capsule is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in adults. The prostate is a small, muscular gland in the male reproductive system. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common condition that occurs when the cells of the prostate gland begin to multiply.
Siluts-D 8mg Capsule is a combination of Silodosin and Dutasteride. This medicine works by blocking the action of alpha-1 receptors, causing smooth muscle relaxation in the bladder and prostate. Dutasteride blocks the action of a 5-alpha reductase enzyme, resulting in a shrinkage of the size of the prostate gland.
In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as dizziness, headache, nasal congestion (stuffy nose), and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
Take Siluts-D 8mg Capsule as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Siluts-D 8mg Capsule with or without food. It is advised not to take more than the recommended dose of Siluts-D 8mg Capsule . Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine. It is crucial to have your lipid profile checked regularly.

- Relaxation of Bladder and Prostate Muscles: Siluts-D 8mg Capsule works by relaxing the muscles in the bladder and prostate, making urination easier and helping relieve urinary discomfort associated with an enlarged prostate.

Drug Warnings
- Do not take Siluts-D 8mg Capsule if you are allergic to Siluts-D 8mg Capsule or any other components present in it. To treat your condition effectively, continue taking Siluts-D 8mg Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Try not to stop taking it on your own.
- If you take Siluts-D 8mg Capsule with any antihypertensive medicine, your blood pressure could suddenly drop to a life-threatening level. So, avoid intake of Siluts-D 8mg Capsule with antihypertensive drugs.
- Inform your doctor if you have/had a heart attack or stroke or heart failure, low blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, have certain eye diseases, loss of vision due to loss of blood flow to the optic (eye) nerve before taking Siluts-D 8mg Capsule .
- You are advised not to drive or operate heavy machinery after taking Siluts-D 8mg Capsule as it may cause dizziness.
- Avoid consuming alcohol along with Siluts-D 8mg Capsule as it could lead to increased dizziness and drowsiness.
- Older patients may be more sensitive to the side effects of Siluts-D 8mg Capsule , especially dizziness and low blood pressure when getting up from a sitting or lying position.
