About Sitavin-50 Tablet

Sitavin-50 Tablet belongs to the group of anti-diabetic medicines called DPP-4 inhibitors (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitors) used to treat type-2 diabetes mellitus. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a condition in which blood sugar is too high because the body does not produce or use insulin normally.

Sitavin-50 Tablet contains Sitagliptin, which works by blocking the action of DPP-4 (dipeptidyl peptidase-4) and increasing the amount of insulin made by the body. Thus, it helps lower blood glucose levels.

In some cases, Sitavin-50 Tablet may cause side effects such as upper respiratory tract infections, headache, and nasopharyngitis (inflammation of the nasal passages).
