Spazof Suspension is used to reduce stomach pain in children due to spasms, cramps, and bloating. Abdominal spasms are acute conditions in which the abdominal muscles (abs), intestines, and stomach contract severely. Stomach spasms can be caused by muscle strain, dehydration, stomach gas formation, inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) like Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, gastritis (stomach inflammation), constipation or other gastrointestinal infections.

Spazof Suspension is a combination drug containing Dicyclomine and  Simethicone. Dicyclomine is an antispasmodic agent that reduces spasms and pain by relaxing the muscles and blocking certain chemical messengers in the brain responsible for causing the sensation of pain. On the other hand, Simethicone is an anti-foaming agent that treats bloating and releases stomach gas more efficiently. Together Spazof Suspension helps reduce muscle contractions and pain by acting on the intestine's inner lining, allowing gas bubbles to come together, relieving cramps and spasms.

Give Spazof Suspension to your child as prescribed by the doctor. It can cause side effects like dry mouth, dizziness, weakness, nervousness, sleepiness, and nausea. These side effects resolve on their own. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Avoid using Spazof Suspension if your child is allergic to any of its contents. Spazof Suspension should be used only in prescribed doses. Complete the entire course of the treatment as prescribed by the doctor, even if your child feels better after a few doses intake. Before using Spazof Suspension, inform your doctor if your child ever had an allergy to Spazof Suspension, or has any other medical conditions like heart, liver or kidney problems. • Relief from abdominal pain: Spazof Suspension provides relief from crampy abdominal pain, often used for digestive issues by relaxing the muscles in the abdomen and intestines and reducing spasms and cramps.
• Management of gastrointestinal disorders: Spazof Suspension helps in managing symptoms associated with gastrointestinal issues, such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastric spasms, bloating or pain.
• Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS): Spazof Suspension may help relieve symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) by relaxing the muscles in the intestines and reducing spasms.
• Muscle spasm relief: Spazof Suspension helps to relieve muscle spasms in the gastrointestinal tract, reducing spasmodic activity and providing relief.

• Spazof Suspension should be given before food.
• Follow your doctor's instructions regarding the dosage and duration of the medication.
• Shake well before use. Administer the advised dose to the child using the measuring cup/measuring spoon/dropper.

Administering Spazof Suspension to infants under 6 months may result in breathing issues, seizures, fainting, changes in heart rate, muscle weakness, coma, or even death.
