About Tazret Forte Cream

Tazret Forte Cream belongs to a group of medications called ‘retinoids’ used in the treatment of psoriasis (skin forms itchy, dry patches) and acne. Psoriasis is an autoimmune (immune system attacks healthy cells) skin disorder in which the skin becomes scaly, swollen up, and itchy. It mostly affects the knee, elbows, scalp, and trunk. It is a lifelong condition, and treatment is given to remove affected skin cells and avoid flare-ups of the disease. Acne is a skin condition that is common and occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil. 

The Tazret Forte Cream contains ‘Tazarotene’ which belongs to the class of retinoids derived from vitamin A. It has anti-inflammatory and antiproliferative (decreases skin cell multiplication) properties. It works by slowing down the development of the disease. It reduces the speed of skin cell growth and blocks some substances which cause inflammation (swelling and redness) on the skin. It gradually clears the affected skin. It helps to reduce the redness, scaling, and thickness of the rashes of psoriasis.

Use Tazret Forte Cream as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Tazret Forte Cream for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical conditions. You may experience dry skin, erythema (skin redness), itching, irritation, skin irritation, skin burn and skin peeling (loss of the upper layer of skin). • Tazret Forte Cream is for external use only.• It is usually applied once daily at bedtime or as directed by your doctor.• Check the label for directions before using this medicine.• Clean and dry the affected area of the skin. Take a small pearl-sized amount of Tazret Forte Cream on the fingertip and apply it to the affected area. • Wash your hands before and after applying Tazret Forte Cream.• If Tazret Forte Cream accidentally comes into contact with the nose, mouth, eyes, or vagina, rinse with water thoroughly.

  • After taking a shower or bath, apply a moisturizer to damp skin.

  • Exfoliate your skin gently using a pumice stone or slightly abrasive sponge.
  • Do not scrub your skin.
