About Twinblok Trio Tablet
Twinblok Trio Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure is a condition in which the blood exerts increased pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Symptoms include headache, dizziness, nosebleeds, changes in vision, chest pain, weakness and dyspnea (shortness of breath).
Twinblok Trio Tablet is a combination of three drugs, namely: Cilnidipine, Chlorthalidone, and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels and suppresses the contraction of blood vessels, thereby helping blood flow smoothly. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing excess fluid and electrolytes via urine. Metoprolol succinate slows down the heart rate and makes it easier to pump blood throughout the body.
In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as headache, nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Limited information is available regarding the usage of Twinblok Trio Tablet in children; please consult a doctor if you have any concerns. Inform your doctor about all the medicines you are taking and your health condition to rule out any unpleasant side effects/interactions.

Twinblok Trio Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It helps lower the blood pressure, thereby reducing the chances of heart problems such as heart attack and stroke.
Twinblok Trio Tablet contains Cilnidipine, Chlorthalidone, and Metoprolol succinate. Cilnidipine acts on the calcium channels of the blood vessels and suppresses the contraction of blood vessels, thereby helping blood flow smoothly. Chlorthalidone lowers blood pressure and swelling by removing excess fluid and electrolytes via urine. Metoprolol succinate slows down the heart rate and makes it easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body. Together, Twinblok Trio Tablet helps treat hypertension.
Twinblok Trio Tablet may cause a slow heart rate (bradycardia). A minor fluctuation should not be a worry; however, if a slow heart rate continues or you begin to feel unwell, speak with your doctor.
High blood pressure increases the workload on the arteries and heart. If untreated, it could damage the blood vessels of the heart, brain, and kidneys and might result in stroke, heart failure or kidney failure. Hypertension increases the risk of heart attacks. Therefore, anti-hypertensives such as Twinblok Trio Tablet are used to lower the blood pressure to normal; this reduces the risk of developing these disorders.
Please do not stop taking Twinblok Trio Tablet without consulting your doctor, as it may raise your blood pressure. To treat your condition effectively, continue taking Twinblok Trio Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Twinblok Trio Tablet .
Orthostatic hypotension, a sudden lowering of blood pressure that causes dizziness when standing, could be a side effect of Twinblok Trio Tablet . If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking; instead, lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. People taking Twinblok Trio Tablet are advised to regularly monitor their blood pressure levels to avoid unpleasant events.
The side effects of Twinblok Trio Tablet include nausea, dizziness, headache, abdominal pain, and weakness. Most of these side effects gradually resolve over time. However, consult the doctor if any of these symptoms persist or worsen.
