Vigopred 1% Eye Drops 10Ml

Vigopred 1% Eye Drop is prescribed to manage and treat a variety of inflammatory eye conditions. Your doctor may recommend it for the following uses:

• Post-operative eye inflammation: It helps reduce swelling, redness, and discomfort after ocular surgeries such as cataract removal.
• Ocular allergies: It provides relief from severe, non-responsive allergic reactions affecting the front of the eye.
• Uveitis: It treats inflammation of the uvea (the middle layer of the eye) to prevent long-term vision problems and tissue damage.
• Eye injuries: It minimises swelling and tissue irritation resulting from chemical burns, foreign objects, or physical trauma to the eye.

This medication is highly effective at improving your comfort and protecting your vision during recovery. Key benefits include:

• Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Vigopred 1% Eye Drop is for ophthalmic use only. Not for injection.
• Do not touch the dropper tip or other dispensing tip to any surface since this may contaminate solution.
• If the suspension becomes cloudy or dark brown, it should be discarded.

• Wear UV-protection sunglasses: Your eyes may be more sensitive to sunlight during treatment, so protect them from UV rays when outdoors.
• Avoid contact lenses: Do not wear contact lenses while your eyes are inflamed or while using this medication unless your eye doctor explicitly tells you it is safe to do so.
• Take screen breaks: Reduce eye strain by following the 20-20-20 rule—look away from screens every 20 minutes at something 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds.
• Practice good eye hygiene: Avoid rubbing or touching your eyes, and wash your hands frequently to prevent introducing new bacteria or viruses.
• Eat eye-healthy foods: Maintain a balanced diet rich in leafy greens, citrus fruits, and omega-3 fatty acids to support overall eye health and recovery.

• Keep the Dropper Tip Clean: Never touch the dropper tip to your eye, eyelids, fingers, or any surface to keep the solution free of bacteria.
• Shake Before Use: Always shake the bottle vigorously before every single use to make sure the medicine is mixed properly.
• Space Out Eye Medications: If you are using other eye medications, wait at least 5 to 10 minutes after applying Vigopred 1% Eye Drop before using any other drops or ointments.
• Remove Contact Lenses First: Remove your contact lenses before applying these drops, and wait at least 15 minutes before putting them back in, as the preservative in the drops can stain soft lenses.
• Do Not Stop Suddenly: Do not stop using this medication suddenly; your doctor will help you gradually decrease the dose to prevent your symptoms from returning.
• Inspect the Eye Drops Before Use: Check the bottle regularly and do not use the eye drops if you notice the liquid has changed colour or contains dark particles.
