About Vymada 50 mg Tablet

Vymada 50 mg Tablet is used in the treatment of heart failure in adults and children above one year age. It helps to reduce the risk of death and hospitalisation in adults with chronic heart failure. Heart failure is a chronic condition in which the heart cannot pump blood as effectively as it should.

Vymada 50 mg Tablet is a combination of medicines: valsartan and sacubitril. Valsartan blocks the effect of angiotensin II receptors, which constrict the blood vessels. Sacubitril works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels and making it easier for the heart to pump blood to all body parts. Together, Vymada 50 mg Tablet helps in the treatment of heart failure.

Not everyone who is taking Vymada 50 mg Tablet will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as cough, dizziness, nausea, diarrhoea, and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Take Vymada 50 mg Tablet as advised. Your physician will decide the dosage based on your medical condition. You can take Vymada 50 mg Tablet with or without food. It is advised not to take more than the recommended dose of Vymada 50 mg Tablet . Do not chew, crush, or break the medicine. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. What if I have taken an overdose of Vymada 50 mg Tablet

Take Vymada 50 mg Tablet only as prescribed by the physician. Avoid exceeding the recommended dose as it could lead to an overdose. Symptoms of overdose may include dizziness, fainting, and hypotension (low blood pressure). If you experience these symptoms or suspect you have taken an overdose, seek immediate medical attention.

A prolonged intake of Vymada 50 mg Tablet can cause an altered potassium level, so regular monitoring of potassium is required. Vymada 50 mg Tablet is not recommended for use in infants below one year of age.

Store Vymada 50 mg Tablet at room temperature. You are advised not to chew, crush or break the medicine. Keep the medicine out of reach of children. Orthostatic hypotension could be a side-effect of Vymada 50 mg Tablet . Orthostatic hypotension is a sudden lowering in blood pressure leading to dizziness on standing. If you experience this, do not try to stand up suddenly or start walking, instead lie down and get up slowly only when you feel better. People taking Vymada 50 mg Tablet are advised to monitor their blood pressure levels to avoid unpleasant events regularly.

High blood pressure increases the workload on the arteries and heart. If untreated, it could damage the heart, brain, and kidney's blood vessels, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure. Hypertension increases the risk of heart attacks.

Talk to your doctor before taking potassium supplements, potassium-sparing diuretics, or salt substitutes along with Vymada 50 mg Tablet as it might cause an increase in serum potassium and serum creatinine levels.
