Xemband-150 Tablet is used to prevent post-menopausal osteoporosis. It is indicated in adults for the prevention of skeletal events such as pathological fractures and bone complications requiring surgery or radiotherapy in patients with bone metastases or breast cancer.

Xemband-150 Tablet contains 'Ibandronic acid', which suppresses the activity of osteoclasts and makes the bone stronger. It lowers the risk of getting a fracture and reduces pain in the bones. Xemband-150 Tablet may reverse bone loss by increasing bone mass and stopping more bone loss.

Take Xemband-150 Tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor. In some cases, Xemband-150 Tablet may cause side effects like heartburn, muscle pain, indigestion, headache, and nausea. Most of these side effects of Xemband-150 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor. 

Do not lie down for 60 minutes after taking Xemband-150 Tablet, and avoid eating your first food of the day for at least 60 minutes after taking Xemband-150 Tablet.Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Xemband-150 Tablet is not recommended for children below 18 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. 

Xemband-150 Tablet is used in the treatment of osteoporosis, a condition characterized by weakened bones and an increased risk of fractures. The detailed uses of Xemband-150 Tablet are as follows:

• Treatment of osteoporosis: Xemband-150 Tablet helps strengthen bones and reduce the likelihood of spine, hip, and other bone fractures in individuals with osteoporosis, particularly postmenopausal women.
• Bone resorption inhibition: Xemband-150 Tablet works by inhibiting the activity of osteoclasts (bone-resorbing cells), thereby slowing down the breakdown of bone and maintaining bone density.
• Postmenopausal osteoporosis management: Xemband-150 Tablet is used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women who are at high risk of fractures.

• Xemband-150 Tablet should be taken on an empty stomach as food may lower its absorption. It should be taken after you first get up for the day, at least 6 hours after you last had anything to eat or drink except water.
• It is usually to be taken once a month; however, follow your doctor’s advice regarding the dosage and duration.
• Swallow Xemband-150 Tablet as a whole with a full glass of water.
• Do not crush, chew, or break it.
• Avoid lying down, eating, or drinking (except water) for 60 minutes after taking Xemband-150 Tablet.

Xemband-150 Tablet belongs to a group of medications called 'bisphosphonates' used to prevent post-menopausal osteoporosis. Do not take Xemband-150 Tablet if you are allergic to any of its components, have problems with the oesophagus, cannot sit or stand upright for at least 60 minutes, or have low calcium levels in the blood. Inform your doctor if you have problems with swallowing, stomach or digestive problems, malabsorption syndrome, kidney or liver problems, or if you plan to have teeth removal or dental surgery. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Xemband-150 Tablet may cause problems with the oesophagus, low blood calcium levels, bone, joint, or muscle pain, osteonecrosis (severe jaw bone problems), and unusual thigh bone fractures. Keep your doctor informed about your health condition and medications to rule out any interactions/side effects.
