Yuviflox-M Mango Flavour Paediatric Suspension is an antidiarrheal medicine used to treat diarrhea in children. Diarrhea is defined as loose, watery and frequent bowel movements. This can be acute (temporary) or chronic (long-lasting). Most times, diarrhoea can occur due to various types of bacteria.
Yuviflox-M Mango Flavour Paediatric Suspension is a combination medicine containing Ofloxacin (quinolone antibiotic), Metronidazole (antimicrobials), and Simethicone (digestive enzyme). Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA replication by attaching to an enzyme known as DNA gyrase. Metronidazole kills parasites and anaerobic bacteria that are responsible for causing infections. It inhibits the protein synthesis interacting with DNA. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping).
Yuviflox-M Mango Flavour Paediatric Suspension may cause certain side effects, such as vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, bloating, headache, and stomach pain. These side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist or bother your child, please consult your pediatrician.
