About Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop
Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop is used to treat bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis and ulcers of the cornea. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial eye infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.
Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop contains Ofloxacin, which works by inhibiting DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) that is involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thereby, it kills bacteria and clears infection.
Use Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop is only for use in eyes. You are advised to use Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry eyes, blurred vision, eye discomfort, eye redness, mild itching, or irritation in the eye. Most of these side effects of Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop as it contains benzalkonium chloride, a preservative that changes the colour of contact lens as it may be absorbed by soft contact lens. Benzalkonium chloride also causes irritation in the eye especially if you have disorders of cornea (transparent layer at the front of eye) or dry eyes. Therefore, you are advised to remove contact lenses before using Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop and reinsert them after 15 minutes after using Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Zenmark 0.3% Eye Drop.
