A corneal ulcer is an open lesion on the cornea (clear tissue at the front of the eye). Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid.

Zoxan Eye Ointment contains Ciprofloxacin which works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Zoxan Eye Ointment treats bacterial eye infections and corneal ulcers.

Use Zoxan Eye Ointment as advised by the doctor. Stinging or burning sensation, gritty feeling in the eye, irritation, white deposits on the eye surface (cornea), and redness are common side effects of Zoxan Eye Ointment. • Corneal ulcers: Zoxan Eye Ointment effectively treats corneal ulcers, which are open sores on the cornea, often caused by bacterial infections, promoting healing and preventing further damage by killing the bacteria that cause the infection.
• Bacterial eye infections: Zoxan Eye Ointment treats bacterial eye infections, including conjunctivitis (pink eye), by targeting and eliminating the causative bacteria, thereby reducing symptoms like redness, itching, and discharge, and supporting recovery.

• Eye drops/Solution: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
• Eye gel/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backward. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the gel/ointment into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.
