Carica papaya leaf extract is the active ingredient in Caripill Syrup. It is extensively used to treat thrombocytopenia (low blood platelet count) caused by a variety of disorders, including dengue and chikungunya. Carica papaya is high in flavonoids, glycosides, alkaloids, glutathione, and glucosinolates, which help increase platelet count by activating bone marrow. Thereby it aids in recovery from dengue, chikungunya.
