About Cloyap-CS Lotion

Cloyap-CS Lotion is used to treat psoriasis. Additionally, Cloyap-CS Lotion may also be used to treat seborrheic dermatitis. Psoriasis is a skin condition in which skin cells multiply up to 10 times faster than usual, leading to skin build-up into bumpy (uneven) red patches covered with white scales. Seborrheic dermatitis is a skin condition which causes an itchy rash with flaky scales.
 
Cloyap-CS Lotion is a combination of three medicines: Clobetasol, Coal tar, and Salicylic acid. Clobetasol works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Coal tar and salicylic acid help break down keratin clumps, remove dead skin cells, and soften the skin. Together, Cloyap-CS Lotion helps in treating psoriasis and seborrheic dermatitis.
 
You are advised to use Cloyap-CS Lotion for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects, such as a burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Do not use Cloyap-CS Lotion if you have a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using Cloyap-CS Lotion if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Cloyap-CS Lotion in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. Do not wrap or cover the treated area with a bandage unless advised by your doctor. Do not apply Cloyap-CS Lotion on children’s skin unless prescribed by the doctor.

Directions for Use

• Apply Cloyap-CS Lotion 2 to 3 times daily; however, follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration.• Clean and dry the affected area. Apply Cloyap-CS Lotion directly onto the affected area and gently massage it in.• Wash your hands after applying Cloyap-CS Lotion.

What if I have taken an overdose of Cloyap-CS Lotion

Drug Warnings

Do not use Cloyap-CS Lotion if you are allergic to any of the contents. Inform your doctor if you have/had skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine; if you have glaucoma, diabetes, adrenal gland disorder, lupus, sensitivity of the skin to light, kidney or liver disease. Consult your doctor before using Cloyap-CS Lotion if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Cloyap-CS Lotion in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration, as it may cause adverse effects. Avoid concomitant use of Cloyap-CS Lotion with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturisers, insect repellent creams, and other gels.

Do not cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Cloyap-CS Lotion unless told by the doctor. Protecting the skin can elevate the amount of medicine absorbed through the skin leading to harmful effects.

Continue using Cloyap-CS Lotion for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while using Cloyap-CS Lotion.

Cloyap-CS Lotion may cause staining of fingernails, hair, skin, clothing, and fabrics.

Cloyap-CS Lotion may make you more prone to sunburn. So, avoid the sun, tanning lamps, and sunbeds. Wear protective clothing, eyewear and use sunscreen while going out.
