Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G is used to relieve acute musculoskeletal pain and joint pain due to osteoarthritis. It reduces pain, swelling, and joint stiffness, thereby improving your ability to move and flex the joint. It works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up, which interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. It blocks the release of chemical messengers that causes pain and inflammation with redness and swelling. Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G contains Diclofenac and Methyl salicylate (as a pain killer), Linseed oil (as an anti-inflammatory), and Menthol (as a cooling agent). Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G works by first cooling the skin and then warming it up, which interferes with the pain signal transmission through nerves. Together Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G works by blocking the release of chemical messengers that causes pain and inflammation with redness and swelling.

Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should only be used if advised by your doctor. Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should be used for skin only, and accidentally if it gets into your eye, mouth, or nose, rinse with water. Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should be applied to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should not be applied more than the recommended dose to avoid unpleasant side effects. Directions for Use

• Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G is for topical (skin surface) use only. • It is typically applied 3-4 times daily, or as directed by your doctor. • Wash your hands with soap and water before applying Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G. Apply a small amount of Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G to the affected area with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab and gently rub it in. • Avoid taking a shower for at least 1 hour after application. • If Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G accidentally comes in contact with your eyes, mouth, or nose, rinse with water thoroughly. • Do not apply it to open wounds, or use external heat or occlusive dressings on the treated joints.

Topical overdose with Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G is unlikely because of its low systemic absorption. However, it may be harmful if swallowed. In case of accidental swallowing/overdose, symptoms include change in the amount of urine, severe stomach pain and slow/shallow breathing.

Use of Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G is contraindicated in the people who have asthma, liver disease, kidney disease, stomach/intestine problems (bleeding, ulcers, Crohn's disease), cardiovascular diseases (heart attack, high blood pressure, stroke), swelling (oedema, fluid retention), blood disorders (such as anaemia), bleeding/clotting problems. Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should not be given to children less than 2 years of age. The use of Diclowin Carbofast Gel 5G should be done with caution in the elderly as they have a high risk of kidney damage and gastrointestinal bleeding.
