About Dimol Drops

Dimol Drops is used to reduce symptoms of gas, such as bloating and abdominal pain. Bloating is the accumulation of gas in the stomach and intestines. It occurs due to swallowing of air while eating or drinking too fast, having oily or spicy food, or having large meals.

Dimol Drops contains ‘Dimethicone’. It works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles to release the gas more efficiently. It facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It helps to reduce abdominal pain caused by gas formation.

You should take this medicine strictly as the physician advises. The common side effects of Dimol Drops are stomach upset and diarrhoea. These side effects are mild and temporary. However, if any of these side effects persist or worsen, inform your physician immediately.

It is not recommended to take Dimol Drops if you are allergic to it. Before taking Dimol Drops, inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It should be used with caution in children. Avoid consuming alcohol as it may increase the risk of side effects. Dimol Drops may not affect your ability to drive.

What if you forget to take Dimol Drops

If you miss a dose of Dimol Drops, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with the regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for the missed dose.

Drug Warnings

Dimol Drops should not be used in people who are allergic to dimethicone or any contents present in it. It should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women. If you are taking this medicine under the physician’s instructions, inform about all the other medicines you are taking.
