Estefer Suspension is a combination of two drugs: Ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Estefer Suspension works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs is produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.

Not everyone who is taking Estefer Suspension will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool.
