Feronia-XT Drops belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' primarily used to treat iron deficiency anaemia (lack of blood) in paediatrics. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.

Feronia-XT Drops contains ferrous ascorbate and folic acid, which work by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein) production in the body. As a result, it helps deliver sufficient oxygen to all body tissues.

Feronia-XT Drops may cause side effects such as nausea, epigastric pain, constipation or diarrhoea, dark-coloured stool, and discolouration of the teeth. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Before using the Feronia-XT Drops, please inform your doctor of your children's medical conditions, sensitivities, and all drugs they are taking. Continue using Feronia-XT Drops for as long as your doctor has prescribed to treat your child's illness effectively.

Uses of Feronia-XT Drops

Feronia-XT Drops is used in the prevention or treatment of iron deficiency anaemia in children. The detailed uses of Feronia-XT Drops are as follows:

  • Treat iron deficiency anaemia: Feronia-XT Drops treats iron deficiency anaemia by replenishing iron stores and enhancing haemoglobin production.
  • Support healthy red blood cell formation: Feronia-XT Drops supports the formation of healthy red blood cells, ensuring efficient oxygen transport throughout the body.
  • Prevent folic acid deficiency: Feronia-XT Drops prevents folic acid deficiency, which is essential for cellular growth and neural development, especially in infants and young children.

Key Benefits

  • Feronia-XT Drops is used to prevent and treat iron deficiency anaemia in paediatric patients.

  • It supports normal growth and development in children by ensuring adequate oxygen supply to tissues.
  • Folic acid aids in the maturation and formation of RBCs, preventing anaemia caused by folate deficiency.
  • Feronia-XT Drops helps restore iron levels and prevent weakness, fatigue, and developmental delays due to anaemia.
  • It promotes overall vitality, energy, and healthy blood formation in growing children.

Directions for Use

  • Feronia-XT Drops should be taken on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal, for optimal iron absorption. Avoid giving it with tea, coffee, or dairy products.
