I am having severe bone and joint pain, and my treatment is still continuing. Why is the pain not reducing properly?

Severe bone and joint pain that continues even during treatment can happen for several reasons, and it does not always mean the treatment is failing. In conditions like arthritis, inflammation may take time to settle, especially if the disease is active or has been present for a long period. Sometimes the current medicines may need a dose adjustment or a change in combination, which only your doctor can decide after evaluation. Pain can also feel worse due to vitamin D deficiency, weakness of muscles around the joints, poor sleep, stress, or overuse of the affected joints. In some cases, other conditions like nerve-related pain or added infections can also contribute. It is important to continue your medicines as advised and not stop them on your own. Gentle movement, rest during flare-ups, and a balanced diet may help support recovery. You should consult your doctor soon if the pain is worsening, joints are swelling more, or daily activities are becoming difficult despite ongoing treatment.
