About Flexinova Capsule

Flexinova Capsule is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who cannot get sufficient calcium from their diets. Flexinova Capsule effectively treats various conditions caused by low calcium levels in the body, such as osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones), hypoparathyroidism (low levels of parathyroid hormone), and latent tetany (a muscle disease with low blood calcium levels). 

Flexinova Capsule contains Elemental Calcium that works by increasing calcium levels in the blood. It provides essential nutrients necessary for bone formation and maintenance.

Take Flexinova Capsule as advised by the doctor. In some cases, you may experience nausea, increased thirst, increased urination, stomach pain, and loss of appetite. Most of these side effects of Flexinova Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Do not take more than the recommended dose of Flexinova Capsule . Symptoms of overdose may include, nausea/vomiting, loss of appetite, mental/mood changes, headache, weakness, and tiredness. If you taken an overdose of it, seek immediate medical help.

If you are allergic to Flexinova Capsule or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, take Flexinova Capsule as advised by your doctor. Flexinova Capsule should be used in children only if recommended by a doctor. Avoid taking Flexinova Capsule if you have high calcium levels in blood or urine, severe kidney problems, kidney stones or galactosaemia (a rare genetic disorder). You are recommended to maintain a time gap of minimum 3 hours between Flexinova Capsule and fluoride preparations or tetracycline antibiotics.

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Include dairy products like milk, yoghurt, cheese, or milk-based custard in your diet.

  • Eat daily a serving of broccoli, cabbage, bok choy (Chinese white cabbage), spinach, and other green leafy vegetables.

  • Snack on calcium-rich nuts like Brazil nuts or almonds.

  • Sprinkle sesame seeds over your food, vegetables, and salads. Sesame seeds are high in calcium.

  • Avoid or reduce the intake of caffeine, soft drinks, and alcohol as they may inhibit calcium absorption.

  • Replace the meat with tofu or tempeh for extra calcium in your food.
