About Frezcon Suspension
Frezcon Suspension is used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) that occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various tissues throughout the body.
Frezcon Suspension is a combination of two drugs: Ferrous ascorbate and folic acid. Frezcon Suspension works by increasing the production of red blood cells (RBCs) and haemoglobin (a protein) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs is produced in the body so that each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen.
Not everyone who is taking Frezcon Suspension will get these side effects. In some cases, you may experience vomiting, nausea, stomach upset or dark coloured stool. Most of these side effects of Frezcon Suspension do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. Although there is a possible interaction between Frezcon Suspension 200 ml and Fluorouracil, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if you experience diarrhoea, paleness of skin, severe nausea and vomiting, over-tiredness, dizziness, fainting, blood in the stools, unusual bleeding or bruising, fever, chills, body pains, flu-like symptoms, skin reactions, mouth ulcers or sores, and/or numbness, burning or tingling in your hands and feet, contact your doctor.
Coadministration of Frezcon Suspension 200 ml and Carbamazepine may reduce the blood levels of Frezcon Suspension 200 ml.

Although there is a possible interaction between Frezcon Suspension 200 ml and Carbamazepine, you can take these medicines together if prescribed by your doctor. However, if your condition changes or you experience loss of seizure control, contact your doctor.
Sulfadiazine may decrease the blood levels and effects of Frezcon Suspension 200 ml.
