Fusiderm Ointment 5 gm is an antibiotic used to treat bacterial skin infections such as impetigo, infected cuts and abrasions, infected eczema and contact dermatitis. Bacterial skin infections occur when bacteria enter the body through broken skin, cuts, or wounds.

Fusiderm Ointment 5 gm contains ‘Sodium fusidate’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins required for the survival of the bacteria. Thereby, Fusiderm Ointment 5 gm helps in treating skin infections.

Fusiderm Ointment 5 gm is generally well-tolerated. However, it may cause mild stinging sensation and irritation in some cases. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. If the side effects persist or worsen, consult your doctor.
