It is also used to treat flatulence (gas). The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. Excessed acid production sometimes erodes the mucous layer, leading to complications like acidity and heartburn.
Gelusil Mps Chewable Tablet 15's contains Activated Dimethicone, Magnesium Hydroxide, Dried Aluminium Hydroxide and Magnesium Aluminium Silicate Hydrate. These medications combine to neutralise stomach acid and suppress pepsin, a proteolytic enzyme. Thus it relieves symptoms of hyperacidity and other associated conditions.
Gelusil Mps Chewable Tablet 15's is generally well tolerated. In most cases, it does not cause any side effects.
