About Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm

Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm belongs to a class of antibiotics called 'aminoglycosides' primarily used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract (including kidneys or bladder), chest (including lungs), abdomen (including gut), brain and spinal cord, blood and bacterial infections in newborn babies. The bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grows in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly.

The Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm contains 'Gentamicin' kills bacteria (bactericidal) by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial proteins, the subsequent formation of nonfunctional proteins and the eventual death of susceptible bacteria. Also, Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm decreases the attachment of bacteria to cells lining the urinary bladder, thereby preventing bladder infection caused by E Coli bacteria. Additionally, it does not allow the bacteria to grow and prevents the infection from spreading.

Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm is available in the injectable form that should be injected directly into the vein or muscles by a healthcare professional. You are advised to take Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending upon your medical condition. The most common side effects of a Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm include pain/irritation/redness at the injection site, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and stomach upset. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Let your doctor know if you are allergic to Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm or any other aminoglycosides antibiotics like tobramycin, neomycin, paromomycin, amikacin, kanamycin and plazomicin. Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gm should be used with caution (only if prescribed by the doctor) in patients dealing with kidney disease, asthma or sulfite allergy, myasthenia gravis, a nerve-muscle disorder, a nervous system disorder such as Parkinson's disease, an electrolyte imbalance (low levels of calcium, potassium, or magnesium in the blood) or if a person is dehydrated.  Gen Coll Collagen Base 15gmis not allowed to use in pregnancy and breastfeeding women as it can harm the unborn or nursing baby. Sometimes, antibiotic medications can cause antibiotic resistance. In such cases, your doctor may prescribe other antibiotics you are not resistant to.
