Hbcount Suspension belongs to a class of medications called haematinics, primarily used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Iron or folic acid deficiency occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor food absorption, or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy).
Hbcount Suspension contains Elemental Iron and Folic acid. Elemental iron helps transport oxygen throughout the body and produce red blood cells. Folic acid works by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBCs) in the body. Together, Hbcount Suspension helps treat anaemia.
Hbcount Suspension may cause side effects like nausea, constipation, stomach upset, pyrosis (burning sensation in the chest), and black or tarry stools. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
