Ingafol 5 mg Tablet is used to treat or prevent anemia (lack of blood) caused by folic acid deficiency, anaemia in pregnancy, anaemia due to damaged red blood cells, anaemia in kidney dialysis patients. Anemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to various body tissues.
Ingafol 5 mg Tablet contains Folic acid (a form of vitamin B9) that increases healthy red blood cell (RBC) production in the body and carries oxygen throughout the body.
You may experience certain side effects like nausea, black stool, constipation, loss of appetite, bloating or flatulence (gas) in some cases. Most of these side effects of Ingafol 5 mg Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
If you are allergic to Ingafol 5 mg Tablet or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before using Ingafol 5 mg Tablet . Drug-Drug Interaction: Ingafol 5 mg Tablet may have interaction with anticonvulsants (phenobarbital, primidone, phenytoin), antibiotics (trimethoprim), high cholesterol-lowering medicine (cholestyramine), anti-inflammatory drugs (sulfasalazine), anticancer drug (fluorouracil).
