About MERIZYME TABLET

MERIZYME TABLET belongs to a group of medicines called anti-flatulent, used to treat intestinal gas, painful pressure, poisoning, swelling in the abdomen. Intestinal gas (Flatulence) and bloating occur due to the accumulation of gas or air in the digestive system.

MERIZYME TABLET is a combination of two drugs: Simethicone and Activated Charcoal are anti-flatulent medications. Simethicone works by decreasing the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitates the expulsion of gas through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract. Activated Charcoal helps to reduce the volume of intestinal gas and produces discernible relief. This combination medication helps to fights the gas in both the stomach and intestines.

Take MERIZYME TABLET after meals. The tablet form of MERIZYME TABLET should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or crush the tablet. You are advised to take MERIZYME TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dark stools, constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Do not take MERIZYME TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. MERIZYME TABLET should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with MERIZYME TABLET.

Directions for Use

Take MERIZYME TABLET after meals preferably at bedtime or as directed by your doctor. The tablet form of MERIZYME TABLET should be swallowed as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or crush the tablet. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take MERIZYME TABLET.

Store in a cool and dry place away from sunlight

Drug Warning

Do not take MERIZYME TABLET if you are allergic to any of its contents. Do not other medicines for at least 2 hours after taking MERIZYME TABLET, as MERIZYME TABLET may stop other medicines from getting into the body. Inform your doctor before taking MERIZYME TABLET about your past and present medical history. Do not take MERIZYME TABLET if you are pregnant or breastfeeding unless prescribed by the doctor. MERIZYME TABLET should not be given to children as safety has not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol along with MERIZYME TABLET. If you experience prolonged diarrhea while taking MERIZYME TABLET, contact your doctor. MERIZYME TABLET can make your feces black.

MERIZYME TABLET is a combination of two drugs: Simethicone (anti-flatulent). Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of MERIZYME TABLET. Drink lots of fluids and eat food rich in fibre if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience excess diarrhoea consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.

The expiration date of any drug is the last day the manufacturer takes a guarantee of the drug's full potency. Discuss with your doctor, MERIZYME TABLET can be taken 15-20 days after the expiry date given the shape, color, and state of the tablet has not changed. If you find any slight change in the form of medicine, please do not consume it.

To treat your condition effectually continue taking MERIZYME TABLET for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Talk to your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking MERIZYME TABLET.

MERIZYME TABLET should be taken as advised by your doctor, don't take more than the recommended dose.
