Minicam Gel belongs to the group of medications known as NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) used to treat pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal disorders including tenosynovitis, tendinitis, periarthritis, strains, sprains, and low back pain.
Minicam Gel works by blocking the effect of chemical messengers (prostaglandin), thereby reducing joint pain, stiffness, swelling, and inflammation.
Minicam Gel is used to reduce and relieve pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis. It is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage.
Avoid concomitant use of Minicam Gel with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturisers, insect repellent creams, and other gels.
Do not apply external heat or cover the treated skin with dressings after using Minicam Gel. Covering the skin or applying heat might increase the amount of drug absorbed into the skin, leading to unpleasant side effects.
