Minicam Gel

Minicam Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation. The detailed uses of Minicam Gel are as follows:

• Pain Relief in Musculoskeletal Condition: Minicam Gel is used to relieve pain associated with musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, strains and sprains.
• Relief from Soft Tissue Injuries: Minicam Gel is effective for treating soft-tissue injuries such as muscle strains and ligament sprains.
• Management of Inflammatory Conditions: Minicam Gel can be used to treat various inflammatory conditions affecting joints, muscles, and tendons, such as tendinitis or tenosynovitis.
• Post-Operative Pain Relief: Minicam Gel may be used to relieve localised pain, reduce inflammation, and improve post-operative recovery after musculoskeletal surgical procedures.

• Minicam Gel belongs to the group of medications known as NSAIDs (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs) used to treat pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal disorders, including tenosynovitis, tendinitis, periarthritis, strains, sprains, and low back pain.
• Minicam Gel works by blocking the effects of a chemical messenger called prostaglandins.
• Prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling.
• By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, fewer prostaglandins are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

• Use Minicam Gel as advised by your doctor.
• Rub gel into the affected area until it disappears completely.
• Do not apply Minicam Gel on damaged skin, such as wounds, dermatitis or infections.
• Do not apply Minicam Gel near nose, eyes, mouth, genital or anal (bottom) areas. If the gel comes into contact with these areas, rinse away with water.
• Do not cover the treated area with dressings or bandages.
• For external use only.

• Physical activity helps strengthen muscles and relieve joint stiffness. Gentle activities, such as walking or swimming for 20-30 minutes, would be helpful.
• Practising yoga may also help improve joint flexibility and manage pain.
• Maintain a healthy weight by engaging in regular low-impact exercises and eating healthy foods.
• Get adequate sleep, as rest can help reduce inflammation and swelling.
• De-stress yourself by meditating, reading a book, taking a warm bubble bath, or listening to soothing music.
• Acupuncture, massage and physical therapy may also be helpful.
• Eat foods rich in antioxidants, such as berries, spinach, kidney beans, and dark chocolate.
• Foods containing flavonoids help in reducing inflammation. These include soy, berries, broccoli, grapes and green tea.
• Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption.

• Do not use Minicam Gel if you are allergic to any of its contents, if you are hypersensitive to acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs.
• Inform your doctor if you have/had peptic ulcers, heart surgery, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, stomach ulcers, bleeding problems, asthma, eczema, fluid retention, inflammatory bowel disease, or kidney or liver problems.
• Consult a doctor before using Minicam Gel if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• Minicam Gel is not recommended for children. Inform your doctor if you are taking any NSAIDs/or painkillers orally.
• Minicam Gel may cause Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis.
• Stop using Minicam Gel and consult your doctor immediately if you develop rashes, blisters, skin peeling, flu-like symptoms, or ulcers in the mouth, nose, throat, connective tissue of the eye, or reproductive organs.
