Nu-Whitfield Ointment 30 gm is a dermatological medication primarily used to treat eczema, psoriasis, skin irritation and inflammation caused by burns, insect bites, fungal infections. Nu-Whitfield Ointment 30 gm is composed of two medicines: Salicylic acid and Benzoic acid. Salicylic acid is also an anti-inflammatory agent and topical antibacterial agent. Benzoic acid is a fungistatic/antiseptic agent and works by inhibiting the growth of fungi. It is also used as an antimicrobial preservative.

Your doctor will advise the appropriate dose that suits your infection. Nu-Whitfield Ointment 30 gm is for topical (for skin use) only. If the medicine gets into your eyes, nose, or mouth, rinse thoroughly with cold water. The burning sensation may usually last for five minutes after application.
