Orofer Capsule is used to treat anaemia (deficiency of iron and haemoglobin). Its deficiency occurs mainly due to poor diet, poor absorption of food or increased folate use in the body (in pregnancy). It contains Iron and Folic acid, which work by boosting the production of red blood cells (RBC) in the body. As a result, an adequate number of RBCs are produced in the body, so that body's each tissue gets a sufficient supply of oxygen. It may cause side effects such as constipation, dry mouth, loss of appetite, bloating, and diarrhoea in some cases. Before taking this medicine, you should tell your doctor if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant/breastfeeding, and about all the medications you are taking and pre-existing medical conditions.

About Orofer Capsule

Orofer Capsule is an oral supplement widely used to prevent and treat iron deficiency anaemia and folate deficiency. It helps your body produce healthy red blood cells, which are essential for carrying oxygen throughout your tissues. Doctors frequently prescribe this medicine during pregnancy, recovery from surgery, or to address nutritional gaps.

To get the most benefit, you should take Orofer Capsule consistently every day at the same time. It is generally best taken on an empty stomach with a glass of water, but you can take it with food if it causes an upset stomach. Combining this supplement with a diet rich in green leafy vegetables and citrus fruits can further support your body's blood-building processes.

While taking Orofer Capsule , you may notice mild side effects like dark-coloured stools, mild nausea, or temporary constipation. These are normal reactions to the active nutrients and are usually harmless. However, if you experience severe abdominal pain, persistent vomiting, or signs of an allergic reaction, stop taking it and consult your doctor immediately.

Talk to your doctor before starting Orofer Capsule if you have a history of iron overload disorders, stomach ulcers, or inflammatory bowel disease. Do not take this if you have had a severe allergic reaction to any of its ingredients in the past.

Certain medicines, such as antacids or calcium supplements, can interfere with how your body absorbs this product, so they should be taken at different times of the day. Avoid consuming alcohol or smoking while on this therapy, as they can hinder nutrient absorption and strain your digestive system. This medication is highly beneficial and safe for pregnant and breastfeeding women when used under professional medical guidance.

Uses of Orofer Capsule

Orofer Capsule is used to prevent and treat iron deficiency anaemia and folate deficiency. The detailed uses of Orofer Capsule are as follows:

  • Iron Deficiency Anaemia: Orofer Capsule replenishes depleted iron stores, allowing your body to produce enough haemoglobin to carry oxygen efficiently.
  • Folate Deficiency: It provides essential B vitamins necessary for healthy cell division and the maturation of red blood cells.
  • Pregnancy Nutritional Support: This supplement supports the healthy development of the unborn baby's brain and spinal cord while protecting the mother from pregnancy-related anaemia.
  • General Nutritional Deficiencies: It helps restore normal blood nutrient levels in individuals with poor dietary intake or malabsorption issues.

Key Benefits

Orofer Capsule helps prevent and treat nutritional deficiencies that can lead to anaemia while supporting healthy red blood cell production. By improving oxygen delivery throughout the body, it helps restore energy levels and supports healthy development during pregnancy.

  • Helps Improve Energy and Reduce Anaemia Symptoms: By supporting the production of healthy red blood cells, Orofer Capsule helps relieve symptoms of anaemia such as fatigue, weakness, dizziness, shortness of breath, and poor concentration.
  • Supports Healthy Red Blood Cell Formation: Orofer Capsule provides essential nutrients needed for red blood cell production, helping improve oxygen transport and overall physical well-being.
  • Promotes Healthy Pregnancy: During pregnancy, Orofer Capsule helps support the healthy development of the baby's brain and spinal cord, reducing the risk of neural tube defects while supporting the increased nutritional needs of both mother and baby.

Directions for Use

  • Orofer Capsule is best taken on an empty stomach for improved absorption. If it causes stomach discomfort, it can be taken with food.
  • Follow your doctor's instructions on the dosage and timing of this medication.
  • Swallow Orofer Capsule as a whole with a glass of water.
  • Do not crush, chew, or break it.

How Orofer Capsule Works

Orofer Capsule combines two essential nutrients that work together to optimise your blood health. The first active component is iron, a vital mineral that serves as the primary building block for haemoglobin. Haemoglobin is the protein in your red blood cells that binds to oxygen in your lungs and carries it to all your organs and tissues. Without enough iron, your body cannot produce sufficient haemoglobin, leading to fatigue and weakness. The second active component is folic acid, a water-soluble B-vitamin. Folic acid is crucial for rapid cell division and growth, particularly for generating new red blood cells in the bone marrow. Together, these two components ensure your body has the raw materials needed to maintain a healthy blood supply and prevent anaemia.
