Oxalo Capsule is a probiotic medicine used in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. This medicine works by interfering with the growth of pathogenic bacteria, thereby helping in digestion by regulating abnormal movements. This combination medicine helps break down the deposits of oxalate crystals in the kidney/urinary tract, thereby effectively preventing or treating kidney stones. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.

About Oxalo Capsule

Oxalo Capsule is a combination of probiotics used in the treatment and prevention of kidney stones. Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts that are healthy for the digestive tract as they help in restoring gut flora. Probiotics containing lactobacillus help in reducing urinary oxalate excretion considerably. Kidney stones are small, hard deposits made up of calcium, phosphate and other minerals/acid salts that stick together in concentrated urine.

Oxalo Capsule contains a combination of probiotics: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis, Oxalobacter formigenes and Lactobacillus sporogenes. The probiotics possess oxalate-degrading mechanisms, which help in breaking down deposits of oxalate crystals in the kidney/urinary tract, thereby effectively preventing or treating kidney stones.

In some cases, Oxalo Capsule may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation. Oxalo Capsule is used to reduce and break down the crystal deposits of salts that cause kidney stones. Oxalo Capsule contains a combination of probiotics namely: Lactobacillus acidophilus, Bifidobacterium lactis, Oxalobacter formigenes and Lactobacillus sporogenes. Oxalate crystals are a common cause of kidney stones. These probiotics degrade any oxalate crystals that may have formed in the kidney. Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium lactis work by decreasing urinary oxalate excretion (hyperoxaluria), which in turn can predispose to the formation of kidney stones. Oxalobacter formigenes and Lactobacillus sporogenes work by activating oxalate decarboxylase, thereby degrading intestinal oxalate. Thus, Oxalo Capsule reduces urinary oxalate excretion, which is a huge risk factor for kidney stones.
