About Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml

Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml belongs to a class of medications called anthelmintics. It is used to treat lesions of Rosacea. Rosacea is a long-term medical condition that mostly affects the skin of the face, causing redness on the forehead, cheeks, chin, and nose.

Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml contains Ivermectin, which acts as an anti-inflammatory drug. Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml helps calm the skin and reduce irritation and redness associated with rosacea. Ivermectin also has antiparasitic properties and thus acts against Demodex mites which may contribute to rosacea symptoms.

Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml is for external use only. In some cases, the Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml may cause dryness, burning, itching, redness, or stinging of the skin as side effects.   • Management of Parasitic Skin Infections: Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml may be recommended by dermatologists off-label for treating scabies and cutaneous larva migrans in certain cases where oral treatment is not suitable or as adjunct treatment.

  • Cream: Apply a pea-size amount of cream to the affected areas of the face (forehead, nose, chin, each cheek) avoiding the eyes and lips. Spread as a thin layer.

  • Wash the scalp regularly with dandruff shampoo containing ingredients like pyrithione zinc or ketoconazole.
  • Use mineral, peanut, or olive oil to soften scales, then comb and wash your hair.
  • After shampooing, use a moisturising conditioner.
  • Avoid hair sprays, gels, and products with alcohol that can worsen the condition.
  • Regularly shampoo facial hair if you have a moustache or beard.
  • Use gentle baby shampoo for the cradle cap, and apply oil if required.
  • Stop taking the medication you suspect for causing a burning sensation and talk to your doctor about other treatment options.
  • Use creams or ointments with corticosteroids on the affected area to help reduce swelling and itching.
  • Stay out of the sun and avoid extreme temperatures, as they can make the burning sensation worse.

What if I have taken an overdose of Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml

Do not use more than the prescribed dose. Overdose of Pedinil Shampoo 40 ml may cause rash, swelling, headache, dizziness, vomiting, diarrhoea, numbness/tingling, seizures.
