About Povinanz 10% Solution

Povinanz 10% Solution is an antiseptic and disinfectant used to treat a sore throat. It also treats and prevents infections of the mouth and throat lining, such as gingivitis (inflammation of the gums) and mouth ulcers. Povinanz 10% Solution is also used to cleanse the mouth for preparation of the oral mucosa before any injection, dental surgery or tooth extraction.

Povinanz 10% Solution contains Povidone iodine, which works by killing harmful microbes and reducing inflammation. It supports quicker healing, alleviates pain, and helps prevent further infection.

Povinanz 10% Solution may cause common side effects, such as mouth or throat irritation, dryness of the mouth and throat, and a burning sensation. These side effects gradually resolve over time and do not require medical attention. However, if the side effects persist longer, please seek medical help.

Please tell your doctor if you are undergoing any lithium therapy or treatment involving radioactive iodine. What if I have taken an overdose of Povinanz 10% Solution

If accidentally swallowed, Povinanz 10% Solution may cause stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, extreme thirst, or difficulty urinating. Seek medical help immediately if you experience any of these symptoms.

Drug Warnings

Do not use Povinanz 10% Solution if you are allergic to povidone-iodine.
Let your doctor know if you have an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism) or any other thyroid diseases (nodular colloid goitre, endemic goitre or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), liver, or kidney problems.
