Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension 200 ml belongs to a group of medicines called antacids and antiflatulents used to treat acidity, dyspepsia (indigestion), flatulence (gas), heartburn and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.

Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension 200 ml contains Magaldrate (antacid) and Activated Polydimethylsiloxane (antiflatulent). Magaldrate works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Activated Polydimethylsiloxane lowers the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.

• Please take foods rich in probiotics such as yoghurt/curd, kefir, sauerkraut, tempeh, kimchi, miso, kombucha, buttermilk, natto, and cheese.
• Eat fibre rich food like whole grains, beans, lentils, berries, broccoli, peas, and bananas to aid digestion.
• Avoid alcoholic beverages with Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension 200 ml as they can make you dehydrated and increase acidity. 
• Avoid eating too much, eating too fast, eating high-fat foods, or eating during stressful situations as it can burden your stomach.
• Eat small meals at regular intervals so that stomach does not have to work as hard or as long.
• Smoking can irritate the stomach lining; hence please avoid it.
• Sleep with your head elevated (at least 6 inches) above your feet and use pillows. This helps digestive juices to flow into the intestines rather than to the oesophagus.
