About Recasiss Tablet
Recasiss Tablet belongs to the class of dietary supplements used in the treatment of calcium deficiency, bone and joint related disorders such as Osteoporosis. Also, it is used to improve overall joint health. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that weakens and thins bones by decreasing bone density which is common in post-menopausal women. As the density of bones decreases, they weaken and are more likely to break.
Recasiss Tablet contains vitamin K2-7, Cissus quadrangularis and Calcium. Vitamin K2-7 helps to build and maintain bones. Cissus quadrangularis has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and analgesic properties. Thus, it helps to reduce joint pain and supports bone health. Calcium is a mineral used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation.
Take Recasiss Tablet as prescribed. You are advised to take Recasiss Tablet for as long as your doctor has recommended it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience dry mouth, headache, constipation, stomach pain, insomnia (difficulty in falling and staying asleep), intestinal gas and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Recasiss Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Co-administration of Recasiss Tablet may lower the effectiveness of Patiromer calcium in binding potassium.
How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Recasiss Tablet can be taken with Patiromer calcium if prescribed by the doctor. Consult the prescriber if you experience symptoms such as metabolic alkalosis like nausea, vomiting, tremor, muscle twitching, lightheadedness, numbness or tingling, prolonged muscle spasms, slowed breathing, irregular heartbeat, and confusion. Do not discontinue the medication without a doctor's advice.
Co-administration of Recasiss Tablet may interfere with the absorption of Raltegravir and reduce its effectiveness.
How to manage the interaction:
Taking Recasiss Tablet with Raltegravir should be avoided. Consult the doctor if you have any concerns, the doctor may recommend alternatives that do not interact with raltegravir. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Dolutegravir with Recasiss Tablet can reduce the effectiveness of dolutegravir.

Although there is an interaction, Recasiss Tablet can be taken with dolutegravir if prescribed by the doctor. However, dolutegravir and Recasiss Tablet should not be taken orally at the same time. Maintain a gap of 2-6 hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Recasiss Tablet may interfere with the absorption of Gefitinib and reduce its effectiveness.
How to manage the interaction:
Although there is an interaction, Recasiss Tablet can be taken with Gefitinib if prescribed by the doctor. However, Gefitinib and Recasiss Tablet should not be taken orally at the same time. Maintain a gap of 2-6 hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue using any medications without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Recasiss Tablet with Ketoconazole may decrease the effects of Ketoconazole.

Although there is an interaction, Recasiss Tablet can be taken with Ketoconazole if prescribed by the doctor. However, maintain a gap of 2 or more hours between both medicines. Do not discontinue the medication without consulting a doctor.
Co-administration of Recasiss Tablet and Digoxin may increase the calcium levels may increase the effects of Digoxin

Recasiss Tablet may cause constipation as a temporary side effect. However, if the condition persists or worsens, please consult a doctor.
You are not recommended to take Recasiss Tablet with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between Recasiss Tablet and levothyroxine.
You may be advised to stop taking Recasiss Tablet minimum 2 weeks before surgery as it may lower blood sugar levels before and after surgery. Therefore, inform your doctor that you are taking Recasiss Tablet before undergoing any surgery.
