Metronidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby killing the bacteria. Sucralfate helps form a protective barrier over the wound to promote healing. Sucraviss-Super Cream is also used in post-surgical dressing, post-cosmetic and plastic surgery, traumatic wounds, post-episiotomy dressing, post-surgical care, chronic infected non-healing ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, bed sores, and impetigo. It works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. Sucraviss-Super Cream is effective against bacteria (Gram-positive and Gram-negative, including antibiotic-resistant and antiseptic-resistant strains), fungi, and viruses. Sucraviss-Super Cream contains Metronidazole, Povidone-Iodine and Sucralfate. Povidone iodine works by inhibiting the growth of infection-causing microbes. Metronidazole inhibits protein synthesis, leading to cell death and ultimately killing the bacteria. Sucralfate helps form a protective barrier over the wound, promoting healing.
