Sucroxy Tablet 6's belongs to a class of medications called 'haematinics' used to treat anaemia (lack of blood) due to iron deficiency and chronic kidney disease. Anaemia is a condition in which the body does not have enough red blood cells to carry the adequate oxygen required to various body tissues.

Sucroxy Tablet 6's contains Ferrous ascorbate, which is a combination of iron and vitamin C. Iron works by replenishing iron stores, and vitamin C enhances iron absorption in the body. Thus, Sucroxy Tablet 6's helps to treat iron deficiency.

You are not recommended to take Sucroxy Tablet 6's with phenytoin as co-administration of these two medicines may reduce the concentration of Sucroxy Tablet 6's in blood and increase the risk of seizures (fits). However, please consult a doctor before taking Sucroxy Tablet 6's with phenytoin.

Sucroxy Tablet 6's should be used with caution in patients suffering from stomach ulcers as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, it is advised to inform your doctor if you have an ulcer before taking Sucroxy Tablet 6's.

Sucroxy Tablet 6's may turn stools to black colour. It is a common side effect of Sucroxy Tablet 6's and is not harmful.
