• Treats Dandruff: Tarry Shine Lotion effectively reduces flaking, itching, and scalp irritation caused by dandruff.
• Manages Seborrheic Dermatitis: Tarry Shine Lotion kills the fungus Malassezia and helps control symptoms of seborrheic dermatitis, such as flaking, redness, and itching on the scalp.
• Manages Scalp Psoriasis: Tarry Shine Lotion helps reduce scaling and thickening of the skin associated with psoriasis by removing dead skin cells and slowing down the growth of new skin cells.

• Tarry Shine Lotion is primarily used to treat dandruff and dermatitis (scaly patches and red skin on the scalp).
• Tarry Shine Lotion is composed of two medicines: ketoconazole (antifungal) and coal tar (keratoplastic).
• Ketoconazole is an antifungal agent that works by stopping the growth of dandruff-causing fungi, preventing them from forming their own protective covering. 
• Coal tar belongs to a class of drugs known as keratoplastic (thickens the keratin layers). 
• It removes dead cells from the skin’s top layer and slows down the growth of skin cells.
