Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm is used to treat dry eye disease and in eye surgeries. Dry eye disease is a common condition that occurs if you don't produce enough tears or if you produce poor-quality tears. This tear instability leads to inflammation and damage to the eye's surface.

Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm contains Hypromellose, which works by increasing tear viscosity in the eye. In this way, it provides temporary relief from burning and discomfort.

• Eye Moisturizer: Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm acts as an eye moisturizer, helping to maintain the natural moisture balance of the eyes.
• Contact Lens Lubricant: Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm can serve as a lubricant for contact lenses, thereby reducing friction and discomfort.
• Surgical Use: Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm is used to lubricate and protect the eyes during procedures like gonioscopy, reducing discomfort and risk of corneal damage.

• Use Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm three times daily; however, follow your doctor's advice regarding the dosage and duration.
• Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Gently pull your lower eyelid with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of eye drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes after instilling Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm.
• Avoid touching the applicator tip. Always keep the bottle securely closed and upright when not in use to prevent contamination. Wash your hands before and after application.

• Do not use Tearmist-EG Gel 5 gm with contact lenses. If usage of contact lenses is allowed, remove them before administration of the medicine, and you can reinsert the contact lenses 10 to 15 minutes post-administration.
• Eye injection is administered during eye surgeries; your surgeon will give you appropriate instructions regarding the usage of contact lenses.
