SITAGLIPTIN+METFORMIN+GLIMEPIRIDE is an antidiabetic medicine used to treat diabetes. It is used for the treatment of Type II Diabetes. Type II Diabetes Mellitus is a serious condition wherein the body doesn’t use insulin effectively, which causes unusual blood glucose levels.
SITAGLIPTIN+METFORMIN+GLIMEPIRIDE contains Metformin (biguanides), which works by reducing the sugar production by cells in the liver and delays sugar absorption from the intestine; Sitagliptin (dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor), which works by increasing the amounts of certain natural substances that lower blood sugar when it is high and Glimepiride (sulfonylureas) works by stimulating beta cells in the pancreas that produce insulin. Thus, insulin helps to remove sugar from the blood.
SITAGLIPTIN+METFORMIN+GLIMEPIRIDE may cause certain side effects, such as vomiting, nausea, abdominal pain, headache, frequent urination, and allergic reactions. If these side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. SITAGLIPTIN+METFORMIN+GLIMEPIRIDE should be taken as prescribed by your doctor.
